Stardog

Hemp-made clothing store | Bogotá, Colombia

Status: Built
Year: 2021
Area: 300 mt²

Stardog Loungewear is a brand that strives for sustainability in all of their production process. Their products are made of hemp, a material that is a very important part of their discourse, from both an environmentally-conscious perspective but also a futuristic plant-focused ethos. Stardog hired Colette Studio to design their store in Bogotá. Together we understood Stardog’s essence to be rooted in the future of fashion, where sustainability and honest fabrication prevail. We designed a space that portrayed the futuristic qualities of the brand while also displaying — through lab-like finishes — the amount of scientific research that goes into creating comfortable loungewear with a material like hemp. Additionally, the design also focused around the idea of bringing a new, different retail narrative to Bogota, where the space is as much a part of the experience as the products.

This project was completed while working at Colette Studio, under the supervision of co-founder Ernesto Lafaurie.
