Beatriz Camacho

Beatriz Camacho is a Colombian high fashion designer. The brand has a handful of stores in different cities of Colombia and this project opened the newest store in Barranquilla, Atlántico. The concepts for her recent collections have been directly tied to nature, specifically tropical plants and landscapes. At the studio we were particularly enthralled by the photographs of what was then her most recent collection. The models, in light dresses with tropical patterns, posed on concrete ruins in the jungle. These photographs were our starting point. The idea of a ruin being a treasure found in nature, as are her dresses in fashion, helped us create the concept for the space. This idea of treasure further expanded into her accessory collections, by presenting them the way one would present royal jewels: on pedestals.
