Microloft
Micro-living apartment | Bogotá, Colombia
Status: Built
Year: 2021
Area: 45 mt²
In Bogotá, micro-living started to become more popular as of 2019, with a different dynamic from the rest of the world: the spaces are bought as an investment and not a property for the buyer's own use; buyers will lease the spaces for short stay rentals through platforms like Airbnb. The intention for the project was to innovate upon the “micro” space with efficiency strategies, using modern and eye-catching finishes that transcended time and taste, so that any renter could enjoy it. The appeal of the project was both aesthetic and functional, accentuating the pleasantness of “tiny living” to the temporary inhabitant.
This project was completed while working at Colette Studio, under the supervision of co-founder Ernesto Lafaurie. See more of the project here.
