Sixty Vines Gaithersburg marks the brand’s expansion into Maryland with a fresh, uplifting dining experience centered on the brand’s philosophy: a “pinkies-down” wine experiece. As the sole interior designer for this new location, I worked to translate the restaurant’s West Coast–wine-country ethos into a space tailored to its urban village setting at the Downtown Crown. The design embraces Sixty Vines’ laid-back sophistication—open, bright, and convivial—while incorporating subtle regional cues that root the interior in Gaithersburg’s community identity. Warm materials, lush greenery, and a balance of rustic and refined details create an atmosphere that evolves seamlessly from daytime gatherings to evening service. The result is a welcoming environment that celebrates the brand’s “wine garden” spirit while offering guests a distinct sense of place
