In the digital age, with online shopping taking over the retail experience, in-person showrooms need to offer a richer more curated experience. This proposal for the Chinese brand’s pop-up buyer experience and showroom, provides visitors with a memorable immersive space and journey through an innovative representation of the brand. Taking inspiration from the brand’s sharp and sleek, yet sweet and feminine style, the form and materials of the intervention showcase both. Its outer volumetric shape is formed from the shape of the iconic ShuShuTong bow, while the interior explores organic, soft, trendy shapes. Additionally, the functionality of the pop-up in terms of circulation and overall user journey, places the visitor on a photogenic runway, an ode to the designer’s main platform for display.
